Mac’n’Cheese | bacon & chives
First added to the menu as a special but brought back by popular demand this one’s a tasty bit of fun for the big and little kids in your world. Who doesn’t love a bit of Mac N Cheese? But as we do with everything in our family, we had to jazz it up a bit with some delicious bacon and chives. Made properly by hand and oozing with our lemony fresh but insanely cheesy béchamel, we think you’ll be loving this one… Generously sized our Bacon and Chive Mac’n’Cheese easily feeds 4 or more.
SERVES 4+ adults
Bacon, chives, elbow pasta, Panko crumbs, béchamel.
Béchamel: Flour, butter, cheese, milk, lemon juice, salt, black pepper.

Cook from frozen. Remove Mac’n’Cheese from vac sealed bag and place on baking tray leaving foil lid in place. Place tray in preheated oven (160°C fan forced) for about 1 hour. Remove foil and baking paper lid. Turn oven up to 200°C and cook until crust is golden brown. Remove and serve.
NB all household ovens are different, so before foil is removed Mac’n’Cheese should be defrosted and at the least warm.
Serve as a side dish or as a main, make a crisp fresh salad, clean your plate with some fresh baked sourdough. It can’t be easier than that.
